Rosenshine’s Principles provide a really clear guide to evidence informed teaching as they are based on cognitive science research, direct observation of experience practitioners and research on cognitive supports/scaffolds.
The session is aimed at Headteachers and/or leaders who are responsible for Professional Development within school and also teachers who want to develop their practice.
This session will aim to:
- Explore what the principles are and the thinking behind them.
- Enable leaders/teachers to consider how to use the principles as part of their tool kit to develop effective sequences of learning.
- Reflect on how the principles can improve individual classroom practice or form part of a whole school approach.
