Understanding ADHD and Supporting Pupils in School and in the Classroom

Overview

At the end of this course, staff will be able to:

 Develop a deeper understanding of what ADHD is and how it manifests itself in pupils

 Develop a deeper understanding of the impact of ADHD on children’s emotional, educational and social development

 Identify how it may affect pupil’s learning

 Make use of strategies to support pupils with ADHD in the classroom

 Support pupils with ADHD to overcome barriers to learning
