Understanding Autism and Supporting Pupils in School and in the Classroom

At the end of this course, staff will be able to:

• Develop a deeper understanding of what Autism is and how it manifests itself in pupils
• Develop a deeper understanding of the impact of Autism on children’s emotional, educational and social development
• Identify how it may affect pupil’s learning
• Make use of strategies to support pupils with Autism in the classroom
