Our annual safeguarding conference is a fantastic day for delegates to network, reflect and keep up to date with the latest safeguarding practice. This year, we have two keynote speakers and a powerful drama performance to explore extremism.
Keynotes
Women’s Aid A thought provoking keynote to support professionals to recognise and challenge victim blaming practice. This keynote will highlight the complexities of working with domestic abuse and the importance of holding the person responsible for the harm to account.
Marie Collins Foundation Recognising and raising awareness of the impact of technology assisted sexual abuse on the child and their family, Rhiannon McDonald, a Victim and Survivor Advocate shares her story.
Access 27 ‘Causing Smoke’, a powerful performance which explores the process of radicalisation and right-wing extremism, through the story of one young person who is targeted as their pain and anger becomes their vulnerability.
Workshops Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend three of the following workshops:
Who should attend? Head teachers, senior leaders, designated safeguarding leads, pastoral leads, SENDCos, wider members of the safeguarding team and safeguarding professionals. | ||
